I have some content for you. I'll be blogging about the post season all of this month, from a Braves point of view of course. Here's my latest on the Phillies and the decision to use Brad Lidge for the 9th.

YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!!!!! IT'S ALL CAPS TIME, BABEEEEEEE!

Actually, though some might be surprised, I get pretty psyched about October Baseball. Even though my Bravos have been on 80s flashback mode lately...

The more appropriate name for a White Sox/Cubs series would be a Red Line…or El series…considering that you take the same train to get to both parks…

Go Dodgers, go angels. Bring on the Freeway Series. Yeah that is what we call it down here
  • Kevin · 1 year ago
You gotta call the Angel-Dodgers series the Freeway series. Sounds way less fruity than the Series of Angels!!!
  • jbinatl · 1 year ago
Ok guys! I caved! It's now the "Freeway Series" Thanks for the input. I wasn't sure what else to call it being an East Coast guy myself.

    Consider me enlightened.

    Howdy, Mr. Baldwin!!

As you know, I am in Cardinal country, but my father was born and raised on the South side of Chicago, so I will be covering the Chisox throughout the playoffs.

As far as what matchup I want to see in the World Series...as long as it is two "original 16" teams. I am sorry, I have a hard time thinking that the Rays can make it, and I don't want to see it. I couldn't stand watching the "effing fish from Florida" win two times in the past decade or so. I want old school teams in there!!!!

Count me in for a Phillies-White Sox World Series. I would love to see Ken Griffey Jr. but the White Sox also have a couple former Phillies in their starting lineup with Jim Thome and pitcher Gavin Floyd, who somehow found a way to pitch once traded to Chicago.

Not a bad idea. It would be fun to see Thome face off against his old team.
