This winter has reminded me of last winter, for Atlanta Falcons. Their star quarterback (let's say Chipper) was sentenced to federal prison for (of all things) dogfighting. Then their coach (say, Bobby Cox, not Petrino) quit on them mid-season. They of course go on to lose 90% of their games. Then they court Bill Parcells (Furcal here) only to have him turn around and use their courtship to get a better offer elsewhere. And things looked really bad.
So hey, it could be worse.
Oh, and now just a year later they Falcons are poised to make the playoffs....
Well then, though the Braves look like fools right now, and seemingly nobody wants to come and play here, it could be a sign of better things to come...maybe? Let's home so.

I'm pretty happy with the off season so far. But then, I'm a Yankees fan.

The Dodgers seem to have a knack for signing free agents and putting them on the DL

I'm happy we didn't sign him. His agents screwed us and he's too big a risk to put those kinds of dollars into. Enjoy him for 20 games, Dodgerdom. That's all you're gonna get.
