Could Furcal Make a Return?

Started by jaqbaldwin · 7 months ago

It’s Monday, the middle of November and JB is feeling inspired.
Perhaps this kid could walk for to raise money for the Braves’ offseason spending. Or maybe I should do my own walkathon.
So even though the Peavy talks have cooled off don’t think Escobar has ... Continue reading »

  • Both. Ship KJ off in the trade and move Escobar to 2B or 3B and Chipper to 1B to save his body. Haven't we been talking about this for nine months now anyway?
  • can we throw francoeur in there too if we send KJ, please?
  • I would hate to see Furcal leave the Dodgers. He's a great hitter and been a productive lead off hitter.

I just don't think we're interested in keeping damaged goods. He played with an ankle injury for most of '07, probably should have gone on DL. He had the back thing this year. His return was really to short to tell, but it looks like it will be OK.

Good luck if you get him back.

Any chance you'd like Andru Jones back too?
  • I really do not want to see another Mike Hampton situation with Furcal. I really think he has had some injury issues that must be taken into consideration. Escobar is a great shortstop, he is young and should be showing some marked improvement. Atlanta didn't make the playoffs because of underperforming pitchers, that is where the Braves really need to focus.
  • I say you put them both in the middle of the infield!
  • Stay away from Furcal. Ask Dodger fans. They're happy that contract is over. Furcal for the Braves would be like Luis Castillo for the Mets. You don't want that.
  • i'm tired of a very long DL, and i really think we need to hang onto esco. we haven't seen all we can out of him. i know he's on the outs, but that means i have to buy a new shirt.
  • u have to get rid of escobar--if he's on bobb'y badside there is absolutely no reason for the braves to keep him--i mean its against everything the braves have represented the past 2 decades--they r dedicated to playing the game the way it should be played and don't believe in selfish players...besides all the atlanta fans loved furcal and would love to see him back in a braves uniform--my vote is furcal
