The Launching Pad: Confessions of a Braves Fan Pulling for the Phillies

Gimme some love...great post JB! Agree 100% the strategy of the NL game far outweighs the DH in the AL & baseball should be played outside and on grass! That being stated, being from Canada I do have to say that I like the Joe Carter photo...touch em all Joe!

Great post JB. You made a number of points that I completely agree with. Baseball has no place indoors being number one. And, while I detest the DH, I love a good Cinderella story. It would be OK with me with if the Phillies tote Commissioner's Trophy back to PA. But if the clock hasn't struck midnight just yet and the Rays could pull off a miracle... I for one won't be sorry to see the streak go to 29.

I concur on the National League aspect and definitely comments on 91 Braves charisma. Phils look like they got the big mo...

    Hey JB,

Nice post! I would go with the Braves if the tables were turned, even though I am a PP fan. And no, I am not one of those PH people, you know phan, that sounds so stupid. As tough as we are in Philadelphia, I wonder who came up with that one? I am NL no matter what.

I hope Cole Hamels throws a Perfect Game tonight. If not, I hope he gets knocked around early and the series goes back to Tampa.

Yes..... I love it!! Your reasons are simply perfect to be cheering for the Phillies tonight. You can cheer along with me!! I am so hoping for the win tonight.... it would be so awesome to have them win in Philly.

    Awesome post :)

I'm pulling for the Phils, too. Has nothing to do with my stupid Yankees coming in third. Yeah, I'm still not over that.
It's more that the fans could use a win. It's been a while, and I'm getting tired of Mike and Mike in the morning talking about the city without a major sports franchise win in so many years.
    Go Phils.
