Won't be going to Ring anymore. He -- and his 31.50 ERA since the break -- got DFA'ed yesterday. Morton threw it well, folks. Maybe this will give him the shot in the arm he needed confidence wise. The stuff is there. 10 games under .500 for the first time since July 2006, and 10 games out of first place. Sigh ... It just isn't fun watching these games with the give it up attitude for the rest of the year. It would seem that the Guys would just want to take a little pride and give it all that they have. But it looks as though they just want to coast now. I wish I could say it wasn't that way.

My gut tells me that the Braves go after CC or Sheets in the off season to bring the number one that we need on the mound. I also think that they will put a deal together to bring Holliday to Atlanta to give us the potent bat that we needed. If not, expect to see Brandon Jones or Jason Berry in left field next year.
