I hope we get to see some drama out of this series.

Thanks for your post, Rick

Re: Bring on the Rays!

Red Sox fan here. Bring on the Rays indeed! Time for revenge. I think this series has the makings of a classic. I think most baseball fans love the story of the worst-to-first Rays this year, even Sox fans like me. But, I'll be cheering on the Sox whole heartedly. The team seems to be clicking in high gear at exactly the right time of year. Even with injuries to key players and a middle relief core that's been less than invincible the Sox have a way of winning. And they beat the best team in the league in six games.

My heart goes out to Angels fans who must feel like the Red Sox are our Yankees. I endured decades of watching my team get their rear end handed to them. All that work, all year long . . . . . . . for nothing. You don't have to go back very far in time for those feelings either. Just ask any Sox fan how they feel about Grady Little's maganagement decisions in 2003. All that work, all season long, only for Aaron Boone to make amout to nothing with one swing.

Anyway, Sox have a big challenge ahead of them. And they should not take the Rays lightly (although does anyone?). They didn't finish the regular season with over 90 wins, only to land in second place for nothing.

Finally, I jsut have to add this, nothing against the Phillies. But, I'm growing quite anxious abuot the possibility of a Dodgers-Red Sox World Series. Hello, Manny. Welcome back to Fenway. Ohhhhhhhhhh, to be a millionaire and have tix to the game where Manny steps to the plate in an opposing team's uniform for the first time. Gotta' respect the man for his pure talent. But, at the same time, way to go out in blaze of "glory" ya' jerk.
